Central Portugal

Nazaré

A charming fishing village, famed for its beaches and giant waves, Nazaré is one of the preferred destinations for Portuguese and foreign tourists. It is almost a must for anyone visiting this Portuguese village to take a ride in the funicular carriage and admire the whole panorama of Nazaré through the lookout point at Sítio. When it comes to food, the famous Caldeirada Nazarena (Nazarene Stew) is a delicacy that tourists enjoy.
