Braga

With more than two thousand years of history, located in the heart of Minho, Braga is the second most visited pilgrimage site after Fátima.

The Igreja de Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz Church), the Sé (Cathedral) and the Santuário do Bom Jesus (Bom Jesus Sanctuary) are the most famous religious icons in Braga city. It also boasts of parks, gardens and 18th-century solaria.

But Braga is not just about the past. In 2012, the city was voted the European Youth Capital. Its student parties, universities and lively street bars are also a major attraction.
